Every report names your products differently

The same product is a code in your ERP, an abbreviation in a distributor portal and a short description in a retailer's weekly file.

A lookup sheet kept by hand

Someone keeps a spreadsheet of codes and names, and each new report means another round of matching.

One store under three names

The retailer portal and each distributor list the same store differently, so its sales don't line up until someone matches them.

A wrong match moves every number

Match a product to the wrong item and velocity, distribution gaps and the call list all carry the mistake.

How mapping works on Corvera

Three steps, set up with the Corvera team.
STEP 1

Questions about product data mapping

What is product data mapping?

Matching each product and store name in each source to one master list, so a product or store reads as one record in every report. Corvera proposes the matches and your team approves them.

Do we need a clean master list first?

No. The Corvera team builds your product and store directory with you at setup, starting from the lists and spreadsheets your team already keeps.

How does Corvera decide what matches?

For each name, Corvera proposes the product or store it matches, with the source it came from and a confidence score, or proposes it as a new product. Your team reviews each proposal and approves it.

What happens when a store changes distributor?

It stays one store. Both distributors' names for it map to the same record, so it keeps its order history and doesn't read as a lost account.

Do we have to map the same names every week?

No. Mapping happens once per name: each approved match is applied to every report after.
