A DC that stops ordering stays invisible until the shelf is empty

A missed PO at the distribution center shows up later as stores run out of your product.

The stores still look fine. The DC that supplies them has stopped ordering.

Checked portal by portal

Inventory lives in each distributor portal. Someone pulls it, lines it up against run rate, then does the math by hand.

No signal until stores run dry

A DC that stops ordering looks fine in sales reports until in-stock levels start falling across the stores it supplies.

Every DC orders on its own

Each distribution center places its own POs, so a chain can be well stocked in one region and short in the next.

Questions about DC reorders

Which DCs can Corvera see?

The DCs of distributors that report inventory by location in their portals, such as UNFI and KeHE. Where a source reports sales but not stock, there is no cover to calculate.

Does Corvera place the order?

No. The distributor's buyer places the PO. Corvera shows which DC needs to order what, and drafts the email that asks for it.

What if a PO is already on the way?

Corvera reads open POs from your ERP and takes them off the gap before anything is flagged. That is why the ERP is connected at setup: without it, a reorder that was placed looks the same as one that was missed.

Is this demand planning?

No. It works from the stock your distributors already hold and the orders already placed, and turns a coming gap into a sales ask.
