One store at zero disappears in the chain total

Sales by chain can look steady while single stores have none of your item on hand, or show stock that has stopped selling.

Lost in the chain total

A chain's weekly sales can hold steady while a few of its stores have none of your item on hand.

The count says it is there

A count that shows units on hand never reads as an out-of-stock, even when the item has stopped selling.

Checked store by store

Finding the stores at zero means pulling inventory for every store and every item, retailer by retailer, by hand.

Questions about store out-of-stocks

Which stores does Corvera check?

The stores of retailers that share inventory by store. Not every retailer does. Where a retailer reports sales but not store inventory, there is no on-hand count to check, so those stores get neither flag.

What is phantom stock?

Phantom stock, also called phantom inventory, is stock a store shows on hand for an item that is not selling. Corvera flags it when there are units on hand but no sales for an extended period, especially when the item was selling before and the sales suddenly stopped. Because the count says the item is there, it never shows up as an out-of-stock.

How is this different from distribution gaps and DC reorders?

A distribution gap is a core SKU a store does not carry. A DC reorder flags a distributor DC that is short of its cover target. Out-of-stock and phantom stock flags are for items a store already carries: none are on hand, or units are on hand and not selling.

Does Corvera restock the store?

No. Corvera flags the store and the item with a dollar value, and drafts the follow-up to the buyer, the distributor rep, or the broker. Your rep checks it and sends it.
