Wild's category team runs on Corvera
Three UK retail data sources unified into one context layer, and a category read that surfaced a £3.4m to £6.6m sales opportunity. Corvera now drives the day-to-day workflows of Wild's category team.

"I've been super, super impressed, and the stuff I've been able to build in a couple of days is pretty mind-blowing."
Answering one question took a week of manual work
Wild's data problem is the one every fast-growing UK brand hits. Tesco reports through its supplier Toolkit. Sainsbury's serves EPOS through Nectar360. dunnhumby holds the Clubcard shopper view. Three systems, three logins, three export formats, and none of them describe a product the same way.
Tesco knows a line by its TPNB, Sainsbury's by an item code, dunnhumby by its own product hierarchy. The same deodorant stick turns up under a different name in every feed, and a starter pack in one system is filed as a refill in the next. So every week someone exported the reports, stitched them together in spreadsheets, and reconciled the names by hand before any analysis could be performed.
One context layer. Any question, answered in seconds.
Using Corvera, Wild connected its sources, and each retailer feed landed in an environment Wild owns, refreshing on its own schedule: Tesco and Sainsbury's weekly, dunnhumby's reports daily. Corvera's mapping engine matched every retailer's product codes back to Wild's canonical product list, and Wild's internal glossary (e.g., rate of sale, ASP, the stores a product sells in) was encoded into the layer too, so every answer speaks Wild's language no matter who asks.
With that in place within days, anyone on the team can ask a question in plain English through Claude and get an answer in seconds, drawn from all three sources at once. No logging into portals, no exports, no stitching. And because Corvera governs access to every source and keeps a full audit trail of who queried what, Arthur, Wild's Finance Director, can widen access across the team without losing control of it.
"That work is just epic. This is the exact end goal."
Millions in growth, surfaced in an afternoon
Within days of connecting to Corvera, Jack Scott, Global Commercial Director of Wild, pointed the context layer at the question every category team lives on: where is the growth, and where is it being left on the table? Corvera pulled three years of category history alongside Wild's own sales data and built the analysis in minutes.
What it found was worth between £3.4m and £6.6m in additional retail sales, growth Wild was leaving on the table in the retailers where it under-trades against its own best performance. It sized a further multi-million-pound opportunity in a product format Wild doesn't yet sell, and it corrected a misread the team had been carrying about its refill business, showing that customer retention was strengthening, not slipping.
Because every source is mapped and reconciled underneath, the team can trust the numbers and act on them. Liv, Wild's category manager, now lifts the outputs straight into buyer decks.
"The downstream output is incredible. AI will play a vital part of category management going forward and Corvera has helped get our data into a place to leverage it."
Now the whole category team runs on it
The clearest signal is that Wild keeps using it. Since late June, Wild's category team has run more than 1,100 queries against the context layer in 22 active days. Liv is the most active user of all, building reads several days a week. It has become the place the team goes to answer a question, not a dashboard they occasionally check.
As a Unilever brand, Wild sees the same approach extending and plan to get more retailers into the layer, and more of the category and forecasting work running on top of it. The context layer is the foundation the rest is built on.
